Local Authorities

The Local Authorities of Ireland are constantly updating their information regarding waste prevention, reuse and other areas of resource efficiency.

In Ireland generally each Local Authority has an Environmental Awareness Officer (EAO) who is responsible for implementing and supporting waste prevention, reuse and recycling activities within their area.

Some Local Authorites also have a Green Business Officer, a Green Schools Officer and other members of staff involved in providing waste awareness advice and help.
