The Upcycle Challenge 2017
We are delighted to
announce that The Upcycle Challenge is back for 2017!
We want to get Ireland
thinking creatively about reuse.
The Upcycle Challenge 2016 was such a success
we have decided to hold the competition again for a second year.
There was great interest in the Upcycle Challenge in 2016 and we were totally
wowed by the entries we received. So this year we want to do it all again.
We are so looking forward to seeing what
creative ideas 2017’s challenge will bring, we hope you will join us and take
part!
What is the Upcycle
Challenge 2017?
It's simple really. We're challenging you to unearth the creativity
within and create something new out of something old...to breathe new life into
an item or material that you source – and remember, there are bonus points if
you find it on FreeTrade Ireland!
So if you can find something old and renovate it or turn it into
something completely different but still usable then we want to see it!
The
competition is open to everyone and we have three €1,000 prizes up for grabs, that’s one for EACH of the three waste regions; Southern
Region, Eastern-Midlands Region and Connaught-Ulster Region.
New
for 2017, we have a created a national category especially for Men’s Sheds,
where the best entry from a Men’s sheds group will win €1,000!
All entries will be judged and Regional winners will be chosen at the
end of the competition and announced during Reuse Month in October.
The competition will
close at 5pm on Monday the 16th of October.
